At Greenwood, students can study the AQA GCSE History course as one of their Guided Learning Choices, which provides an engaging and in-depth exploration of significant periods and events that have shaped the modern world.

The curriculum includes the study of America, 1920–1973: Opportunity and Inequality, where students examine social, economic, and political change in the United States; Health and the People, which traces the development of medicine and public health from medieval times to the present day; Elizabethan England, exploring the challenges, achievements, and culture of the Elizabethan era; and Conflict and Tension: The First World War, which investigates the causes, course, and consequences of World War One.

Through the analysis of historical evidence, interpretations, and key events, students develop critical thinking, research, and evaluative skills while gaining a highly respected qualification that supports progression to further study and a wide range of future career pathways.
