At Greenwood School, we are committed to providing our students with a broad range of experiences that help them develop confidence, independence, skills for life, and a love of learning.

As part of this commitment, all students take part in our Enrichment Programme every Friday during the school day. This dedicated time allows students to engage in activities beyond their usual curriculum and explore new interests, talents and opportunities.

Enrichment is designed to enhance students' personal, social and emotional development while helping them build important life skills. It provides opportunities for students to challenge themselves, work collaboratively with others, develop resilience, and gain experiences that support their future aspirations.

Our enrichment activities include:

• Civic Engagement – contributing positively to our communities, developing leadership, volunteering and understanding active citizenship.

• Arts and Culture – exploring creativity through art, music, drama, literature and cultural experiences.

• Nature, Outdoors and Adventure – connecting with the natural world through environmental activities, outdoor learning and adventurous experiences.

• Sport and Physical Activities – promoting physical wellbeing, teamwork, resilience and healthy lifestyles.

• Developing Wider Life and Future Skills – building confidence, communication, problem-solving, employability skills and preparing students for their future pathways.

 

These areas reflect the focus of the Government's 2026 Enrichment Framework, ensuring that all students have access to a broad range of experiences that support their personal development and help them thrive both in school and beyond.
